A suitable buyer was secured for the property at a sale price of $2,350,000

Our multi-generation family business, Yuen Lui, had purchased the warehouse and office building at 1407 S Dearborn St back in 2008 to use as our photo processing, and offices. Over the years, as the business transitioned, we no longer had a use for it. During a brief period of vacancy, some vandals got in and started a fire, causing some damage. Devin Haskell had called me about the property, and we developed a relationship over several years over lunches of chicken wings and white fish in garlic sauce at Tai Tung in the ID. So when the time came to sell the building, we decided to work with Devin. His team got to work on marketing, with drone aerial photography and architectural renderings showing what could be done with the property to optimize for more yard area. Our first Buyer backed out, there were some concerns with environmental. But Devin had a cash Buyer lined up in backup position who immediately stepped in and closed in 15 days, at a surprisingly high price considering the work that the building needed following the vandalism.
